Man! This movie holds such a spell over me! Nicholas Clay and Cherie Lunghi were the perfect Lancelot and Guinevere (and let's not forget Nichol Williamson,Helen Mirren and all the rest of that fine ensemble)

I was not born to live a man's life...
...but to be the stuff of future memory.
The fellowship was a brief beginning...
...a fair time that cannot be forgotten.
And because it will not be forgotten...
...that fair time may come again.

Yep, Morgana the Sorceress. What a beautiful lady.

"I'm amazed no one has done this before as the music is perfect for the movie."
Really? When you're hearing possibly the finest collection of powerful opera and classical pieces that has rarely ever been emulated let alone bested?
Whatever that crappy music was it has absolutely nothing on Wagner and Orf.

@Vlakarmis I saw Nicholas Clay Guest star in an Episode of "Sherlock Holmes", with Jeremy Brett. It was one of the last films for both men. Both died of complications brought on from Pneumonia, i think.

Probably the best movie ever made about King Arthur. Campy at times but it really grabs you and takes you in and it gets better by the minute. I have seen the movie countless times and it never gets old. I think the thing about this story is it really examines every facet of human behavior in detail. If you ever get a chance to see it on the big screen it is fantastic. There is a DVD release out and it is coming out in blue ray in just a couple months.

Man i just learned Nicholas Clay (Lancelot) and now Robert Addie (mordred) are no longer with us. Thank god they were meant to be in Excalibur. These actors MADE IT what it is alognside Nigel Terry and the others.

Thanks! I love Excalibur and Nightwish. Be sure to watch Excalibur. It certainly is one of the most spectacular retellings of the King Arthur legend.
