  • lol it ends at 911.

  • @awesonovadude919 That is pretty funny! Thanks for watching.

  • The comparison doesn't discredit the game at all. Sonic was created to compete with Mario. Mario revolutionized platforming and Sonic just added to it. Sonic at the beginning was inspired by Mario.

Why shouldn't Sonic draw some inspiration from Mario? Mario's transition to 3D has been flawless and Sonic's has been pretty poor to marginal. So really there is nothing wrong with drawing what works with Mario and applying to to Sonic.

Just accept Sonic being inspired a little helped a lot.

  • @porterwake The fact that they do not compare the game they say it is a rip off or copy. So if I said to you this game is a rip off of Devil May Cry would you think the game is better or worse than DMC? As for the 90's I wil say mario did do great things for video games, butback in the early 90's Nintendo had basically a monopoly on the video game market. If it was not for sonic nintendo still might have a monopoly and there would be no PS3, or Xbox just a Wii. Thanks for watching!

  • @xin0555

Who is they? I have yet to see a professional or well-respected video game critic call Sonic Colors a Mario Galaxy ripoff. I have though seen just about every name video game critic recognize that Sonic Colors takes a cue or two from Mario Galaxy, but applying it to Sonic in a fresh, unique way.

  • @porterwake I am not saying that there are not similarities in the game, because there are. The games are different in many ways to. By "they" I mean people on youtube that said it was a rip off before the game ever came out. When I made this video the game was not out. Before the game came out people said it was going to be bad and a rip off which they just wanted to make a mass opinion of a game before it ever came out. It happened with SA2B see the IGN review. SA2=9.4 SA2B=6.9

  • To anyone who even thinks this debate is reasonable. Let's see which game recieved more critical acclaim shall we? Let's see the scores from realistic reviewers. Average Metacritic score for Sonic Colors: 78. And for Super Mario Galaxy 1 AND 2: 97. Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 is better. Evidence supports it, not just opinion. Also Sonic Colors was even desinged to play like Mario games! It's not even original! Copy/paste on Yahoo search for developer's interivew: "Sonic Colors Aims to Please Mario fans"

  • @omegasonic2000 Yes. Sonic WAS inspired by Mario. Evidence: Copy/paste this title into the YouTube search engine. -- Yuji Naka - The Creator of Sonic In His Own Words - Feature - Platform32 -- He states that he was inspired by both Shigeru Miyamoto and the original Super Mario Bros.
