Bitcoin GPU mining and Premiere Pro GPU acceleration performance

Hi!
When I'm mining bitcoins with a GPU miner, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 with Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration is very sluggish. Is there a way to give the GPU miner lower priority? Or is the fermi/GTX 470 not very good at multitasking?

@mmclees Ya i thought i'd expose the issue, i think it is a problem with the bitcoin miner setting its mining threads at too high priority. What I fear is that it is my graphics card that does not do task switching very well.
