i had one like on the cover. it was a piece of junk
we traded it in 05 for a 05 escape because the rad went bad and so did the air conditioning.

Books are good.. Problems with the car are: Head Gaskets and Transmission.
So make sure you keep the coolant clean & check fan operation.
Service the transmission using a good quality fluid.
If you do thoses things along with changing the oil (use Wixs or NAPA oil filter) You'll get pleanty of service from your car. What ever you do never install a Fram Oil Filter. Fram oil filters use plastic parts and sometimes the pressure reliefe valve will stick.

Yeah, I've been reading some reviews, and it's really nothing for these cars to go 200-300K miles with good matinence. It's just like any other car, if you neglect it, it will most likely neglect you.I've heard too that sometimes people just re-build the tranmission when it's not always the transmission itself it's the speed sensor and people just think it's the transmission.Thanks for the comment.
