Notes: The party was before the Dbacks sold-out home opener v. the LA Dodgers. (In case you're wonderin' ...We won!). Was also the first resident party held before a game.

The 5th floor party deck overlooks the Chase Field Plaza and fans walking below on 4th St. Great people watching, but also pretty darn cool to BBQ, or dip in the pool or jacuzzi before a Dbacks -- or Suns -- game!

  • who won that game i forgot

  • Dee Bax, of course!

  • Fox 10 should've asked those Summit residents how many of their units are occupied right now. (Hint: It's about 90% vacant. "Great" investment indeed!)

  • cbreitel ...

Ahhhhh ... how do you know!??? Did you inquire about a unit? Do you know someone who did?

It's actually one-fifth full (34 familes live there, according to the building mgr.), with 84 closings. One third of the units are still left for sale, predominantly one-bedrooms, and three two bed, 2.5 bath. Your figures are not even close!

  • Apparently, you did not read cbreitel's first post. He said the units were 80% vacant. You state that the units are 1/5 full (80% vacant, 20% occupied). 80% = 80%. Both your figures are exactly the same. Learn how to add!!!!!

Regarding the number of closings, let's see how many potential residents decide to walk away from their deposits. Probably a lot.

  • GiantsFan4550, you never seem to amaze me with your groundless assumptions!!!

Sales rep told me today (for the record:4/24/08) there's ONLY 23 units left for sale (out of 165 total bldg. units!). That means, if you & cbreitel crunch the #'s correctly, it's 86% sold! Pretty dang good in the worst housing market in almost three decades! Wouldn't you say!!!?

BTW, don't think people can walk abway from their sizable earne$t money bank deposits of 10%-20%. You must be confusing us w/NY!!!

  • Well, maybe I am wrong. I am in New York so you will have a better understanding of the real estate market in Arizona. I will point out that you said that 33% of the units were still for sale 1 week ago and now you are saying that only 14% are still for sale just three days later.

Good luck to you. I wish you the best. Great view!

  • The units were 90% vacant when I last checked. Now you're saying they're 80% vacant. That's not "close"?

The units are vastly overpriced, which is why most of them are still vacant. Between foreclosures and people just accepting reality the prices will have no choice but to come down until ordinary people can afford them. $500,000 to live in a condo in downtown Phoenix? Please.
