What? A Garden Hose Reel Review? Yep, that's right. When a product stands the test of time and actually works any more, I am amazed. While this review might not have the techiness of a hardware or video game (as is my norm) I really like this product and wanted to post a quick review.

  • UPDATE AS OF 9/15/10 - both units still working perfectly. HEY REELSMART. make a refrigerator will you. We are on #4 for the same time period of owning your hose reel system. everything is made like POS anymore... except this ;)

  • Hy how often do you have to let the water out of the hose once you have finished using it

  • @gototownice ??? erh not sure what you are asking. The water in the hose is NOT the water that is used to rewind the hose. when you flip the switch "new" water is used to power the mechanism that rewinds the hose. (which is a waste of water but I use it to fill my tractor bucket.) if you are talking about the hose itself... u can leave the water in it... you should drain it for the winter so it doesn't freeze - something I have forgotten to do twice now and it keeps working.

  • I appreciate this demo. Just what I needed. I am having rotator cuff strain and I do not want to struggle any longer with winding the hose by hand. Thanks ( a woman who can handle mechanical items!)

  • @marybames - glad video helped. Just an update. we have two of these things and they still work. I think it is 3 years now. I leave them out every winter (almost to test but more forgetfulness) and they still work. I am amazed anymore when anything lasts. I have nothing vested in praising this other than someone interested in promoting something that actually works and lasts.
