This is a slideshow of the Mayan Ruins in Cancun, Mexico. It was soooo hot outside and I was sweating like a pig. The sights were very cool though. enjoy. (Sry about the bad quality)

  • I thot mexico was Aztec territory

  • My wife & I are going to Cancun in April. Is it safe to go to these ruins?

  • While the ocean cliff setting for Tulum is spectacular, the architecture is very poor in quality even by post Classical period standards.

If you every return to Cancun, take the day excursion over to Chichen Itza. A couple of hours in a modern and well provisioned double decker bus.

As for the architecture of Chichen Itza...well, there's a reason it is used in tourist advertisements for Mexico. Make sure you go to the top of "El Castillo." The view is like standing in mid-air.

  • That's Tulum, about 2 hr.s south of Cancun.
