A great mornings flying with Dugald and Stuart in the utterly fantastic Scottish Highlands preceded the evening before by an excellent meal in the Kings House Hotel. Took off from the car park at the Glencoe ski resort and flew over Rannoch Moor, past the hotel, following a section of the west highland way and on to Glencoe where the glen narrows and the mountains get even more impressive. Great film. Nice to see Glencoe from this viewpoint. I've often fancied flying through there in the microlight - maybe I should go paramotor.

Did you encounter much turbulence?

@7275steve We chose Glencoe that weekend because the forecast was for almost zero wind and the forecast was pretty much right. There was a steady 3mph blowing NW through the glen but absolutely no turbulence through and back. Once the sun warmed up around 11am there were a few thermals where the glen opens up but that was fine.

I recommend it! Carry it in the boot of the car and whenever the weather permits and the mood takes you, you're in the air with virtually no runway.
