Eh, ABS is only there for incompetents who can't drive in the first place.

The Chevy's engine sounded cammed when you'd hear it idling, had that choppy note. Also, it sounded like a high revver compared to the Pontiac.

People always forgot one thing. It come with skills and talents. Doesn't always mean fastest cars always win. I own 1963 chevy pickup with 500HP,400turbo tranny w/9 inch rearend and sway bar on tracking arms. I beat '07 corvette in quarter mile drag race. He went oh geez! your's is fastest. I said no no, you would had beat me easy with your 6 speeds manual tranny since I have 3 speed auto tranny. I miss old movies with proper high speed chases :(

I Have to agree, today´s films are way out of range from the good old days. BUT for everyone that says that ABS it´s "only there for incompetents who can't drive in the first place" Hey it´s the rules of the road today, not because drivers are geting worse, but because people want less accidents, it´s safer, but less thrilling, Right? Anyway, That´s what i think... I Love The Old Days

BAck in the late 60's early 70's chevys couldnt hold a light to pontiac's, but chevys and pontiacs where the best back in the day and still is. pontiacs had a SHIT TON of torque, and folks, torque is what spins them tires i like the saying "Horsepower sell the car, Torque wins the race"

@discoveramericanow: Yep. They might've had just a bit less than 300 hp, but you could indeed get a hairy top end with a tall enough gear ratio.............and that's what I like about 'em :-).
