Very nice, but even better is Bill Evans & Toots playing Body & Soul on Evans' album "Affinity".

@cccustard -- Have you noticed the great quote of "Artistry In Rhythm", Stan Kenton's theme? I can understand why he brought tears to your eyes. It's the joy, man, just joy!

The greatest pianist I've ever seen. Brought tears to my eyes in Dijon. And why not?

Every so often an utterly unique human being emerges from the mass of us and, because they take a road less travelled, discover some special means for conveying what life has taught them without the use of language. They plug their heart into yours, and if you are open enough, you will hear their story. Toots Thielemans is one of those unique people. One of the greatest musicians who have ever lived.

Martial has that post-bop jazz feel to his playing. He reminds me of Joe Zawinul or is that the other way 'round? : o

Why is Martial Solal nearly forgotten?
