A rare Sunday run of H18 grinds uphill just outside of Columbia. The three standard cab Geeps make a great sound as they climb the .75% grade.

  • How often does this branch run?

  • Twice a day (H18 both directions - usually in the evening) plus a local on Tuesday and Thursday (in the mornings)

  • yep, about 20 minutes or so west of Lancaster

  • This is the train that runs right behind the columbia wagon works right up the hill from the river.

  • no, those tracks are the old Reading branch line to Lancaster Junction and on to Reading. Those tracks do, however, connect with this line in Columbia.
