Margaret Schilling, a patient at the Athens Mental Asylum disappeared 30 years ago. Her lifeless body was found weeks later in an abandoned ward of the building. In the spot where she was found there is a white spot in the shape of a human body. This has moved the fantasy of many ghost-story enthusiasts and attracted attention of the media an numerous occasions. Carolyn Zimmermann and Unige Laskay, chemistry graduate students in the group of Glen P. Jackson at OU decided to look at the spot from a scientific point of view. Here is what was found.

I know, the video is a bit confusing, they have cut out a lot of our explanations. In short, this is the idea:

Fact: Margaret Schilling died in that room, her body was found 5 weeks later.

Fact: there is a white stain on the floor in the shape of a human body (although not consistent with the stain an actual person would leave -it is too uniform throughout, instead of patches where the head, shoulder, hips touch the floor)

Fact: the stain cannot be removed by washing, scraping, etc.

Fact: there is a white residue on top of the stain that, upon chemical analysis, turned out to be of human origin

Myth: the decomposing body, or a supranatural event left the actual white "shadow".

Fact: The stain cannot be removed because it was made while someone probably tried cleaning the floor. The acid in the cleaning solution etched the concrete, that is why it cannot be removed.

The term "stain" refers to the "drawing" on the floor, the human residue was found ON TOP of this stain.

The stain isn't cleaning supplies.She simply took her clothes off and laid them beside here and layed there and died.She escaped her cell and went through the halls.If the stain were cleaning supplies why would they be in the shape of a body?From cleaning the stain which didn't work?And why would there be human tissue residue if it is JUST cleaning supplies?

i thought that there was like a huge blood stain on the floor when she died.... maybe after she died someone tried to clean it up wit stain solution and couldnt get if out and just left it white. tht might explain the human tissue found in it

Oh no, I totally agree with all the facts you said below in the comments. I don't think its cleaning solution. I would love to see this in person for myself, that would be awesome!
