  • can the icp combat demo be played offline i want to download it but install it on another pc

  • The latest patch for the ICP contains the server application. That means you can run the server and the client on your own PC and use "localhost" in the IP address to connect.

  • Jesus christ, this looks incredible. Can the engine also do waves and whirlpools?

  • It can't do whirlpools but I'm not sure about waves.

  • I'm looking for this since it was just a programmation challenge for InfinityAdmin and it wasn't thinked as a mmo. And still, like early days, I'm in total awe of this.

  • Have you seen the latest updates in his dev journal on the website? He's doing some amazing things with procedurally generated cratered planet surfaces.

  • do you know what's funny? This is better than terragen.

  • Well done guys at Infinity. To do this all for free and give up your time and effort to make, to put it quite frankly, a game that maybe never made again in terms of effot, dedication and overall expertise for no cost for those who will be playing it. The graphics, the engine, the seamless planetary entrance and the intuative ship control that brings memories of freelancer flooding back to me. So far, so good. Very good infact. Keep up the good work guy, I eargerly await the beta.

  • @kevinscales I hope so. Lets not forget the diamondbergs on Neptune, while we are at it.

  • @InfinitySupport

    Atmospheric variation?

I feel it is crucial to have viscosity play a integral role in the ∞ engine.

I want to submerge... In water, atmosphere, gas torus', Star's, Nebulae...

That is my opinion as an Aviation Structural Mechanic, a Gamer, a Scientist, and a Human.

    I'm awaiting "frill".

Engine exhaust, blowing in the trees... gravity generators & tractors, deforming planetary geometry.

This game begs to defy conventions.

Compromises will now have to be made, but we will persist.

  • Release Date ?????????

  • i actually call this game a virtuall life

  • Any chance this engine can do forests as well? I've been seeing a lot of water, rocks and mud planetside so far.

  • looks great mabye in a few decades this game will be the shit.

  • Will there be lakes of methane and ice-lava flows on Titan?

  • The graphics look fucking crazy good.

  • @Th3BritishGuy Apologies if I got it wrong what you were saying. What matters is, this is going to be the best game ever created, and the best space sim experience almost true to life that we are going to get for a very long time!

  • @TheZackarios I don't think you understand, I've been following this from the off and the devs are not being paid by some big time games company, they are doing it for free in terms of development. They are doing this on top of their own jobs.

And with regards to actually playing the game, the devs are aiming for there to be a free multiplayer with more limited functions, and a paid one for the full experience. But that's not what I was talking about in the first place.

    But yeah, AWESOME!!
