Catholicism is the most intellectual and authentic articulation of Christianity. I respect many other branches like the Anglican and Orthodox etc. But born again fundamentalists give a very naive inaccurate fanatic view of Christianity. Atheists take pleasure in dismantling the belief of fundamentalists since those beliefs are easily refutable.

Ignorant Catholics are ones to convert to protestant churches. On the other hand protestant scholars are converting to Holy Mother Church.
I invite ALL ex-catholics to take another look and see how it's working out for you.
For most protestants your Pastor is your Pope. He has the full authority. When it come to faith & morals, we have the magisteriam of the Catholic church, Apostolic Tradition and the infallibility of the Pope.
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God & Father Eph4:3-6

He became a Catholic because the woman he was cheating on his wife with for six year was a " staunch Catholic," whom he later married. Hmmm.

@164sonvu No, denomination has nothing to do with it. He said he recently became a "christian" for real this time. I guess he was only playing religion before. Who knows? I didn't even mention Catholicism. Are you going to tell me that only a couple of Presidents were christian??
-
@garrickrising Newt converts to Catholic for vote ? beside John F kenedy, was a president. Was their any other Catholic as president ? NO!
-
didn't anyone of you realize newt is a politician?? he "converted" for votes. come on now even you christians have to see past this charade.

@Hirduin he did receive a catholic funeral.
my understanding is that suicide (a touchy subject ) is not a black or white issue.
the church thought, in Hemingway case, his suicide happened in a way which still allowed a catholic funeral. Hemingway had suffered from very bad depression and he seeked treatment. doctors gave him electroshock therapy and Hemingway got permanent brain damage from it. that's why he killed himself.

Ernest Hemingway? He committed suicide. I guess he put up some obstacles to the Faith even though he may have converted.

Hey bro! I passed this on today to my friends, some who are not Catholic. I've just been thinking about this a lot lately. And you made an interesting call in suggesting Newt Gingerich would be facing Barack Obama when at the time you posted this, he was mostly an afterthought by many. I remember when I was entering the Catholic church I really appreciate the videos you make. You speak in a sensible, civil manner.

@UnDauntedDoubleDorks Thanks for your kind words. I enjoy your videos too. It has got to be convincing for Protestants to hear everything explained from the perspective of an ex-Protestant. Regarding Newt, it would be great if he won. Not that America has much chance of reforming, but at least we would have a strong, Catholic leader in Newt. I believe we must end abortion first if America is ever to recover.

Ramadan 1997 title: "Christians and Muslims.
Believers in God faithful to Man" Muslims are "believers in God?" How so? Christ is God, so how can Muslims be "believers in God?" Oh, but yes I am saved, but it's not through the sacrament of Baptism. Yes, I was raised Catholic and baptized, but that water did not cleanse me from sin. Faith in the One who took my sins upon the cross, who died in my stead, and who rose for my justification, is the One who saves - not the Church of Rome.

@stinkygeorgia1 So when Peter directly teaches that Baptism is "for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2)", I guess he got it wrong? Or when Peter also wrote, "Baptism...now SAVES you (1 Pt 3:21)." Again, on Muslims, if you think the Church teaches that Muslims are believers in Jesus Christ, you are just terribly mistaken. If you can produce a quote from a Pope that Muslims are believers in Christ, then let me see it.
