@1945Ranger1945 also, everybody is just walking around not taking any cover. it looks as if nobody takes it seriously out there. and the trucks came in so slow, and the troops just calmly hopped out. and this is supposed to be a reenactment

Well, I sure as hell would like to know where you going to find bunkers that are intact and your allowed to use around Iola. They aren't just going to build bunkers for a reenactment. Take some consideration at least.

I remember seeing all the GIs about to get off... and then the driver kept going lol. The half track stopped maybe 20 ft from the tree I was crouched behind. I figured with 15 or so GIs I needed to die...
I'm the famous "stringbean" everyone.

You can't pan to the right to show a U.S. half track pretty much running over my position??? Towards the end, you can see me dead behind the U.S. medic lol

It's so lame when WW2 reenactments get held in the worst and none relistic fighting conditions, how can it be any fun fighting when your in a nicely trimed lawn in a park.
I just think it would be funner for the public and the reenacters to have an area wth bunkers and trees and actual cover instead of every one int an open field with none at all.

yea, I know. but, we do what we can there. the field we use in Rockford is much better, more like the wooded fields of France. and the terrain and heavy woods at The Wade House in Green bush, WI is perfect, but it's a tactical with no public.
