okay it's a nice ending to close the smallville chapter but this is how my ending would have been...Lois comes into work while Clark is just arriving she compliments him on saving the world right before they would go to lunch break Clark would tell Lois "there's something i have too do,I'll see you later" the the john Williams theme plays as he's turning into the Superman flying up in the sky above earth and smile as reeve did i mean idk that's what i would have done it :)

@QuieroAUnDarien its the future, after superman is already well known, and Lois Lane of course knows who is superman (Smallville plot)

Great way to end show but i cant help but feel let down that we never saw superman

i will truly miss this cos i love smallville... i watched all season from one to ten.. and i think i will follow their season 11 on comic...

Great ending. I love how they payed tribute to John Williams classic Superman theme and the classic Clark Kent/Superman and Lois love theme. :-)

I know that a lot of fans were disappointed not to see Welling full-on in the suit. Personally, just seeing glimpses was enough for me !!
