The other thing about that 1988 video was the shot of a random woman in the audience misty-eyed, mouthing the words of, I believe, "Fire and Rain." That always got me teary-eyed, realizing how much of a connection this man through his songs has established with vast numbers people having that moment of identification with something at some point in their respective lives.
I have an aged VHS tape of this concert from 1988 recorded off PBS. Does anyone know if it is avalilable on DVD or video? My tape is getting worn. I love it because the performances/arrangements represent a slightly less "polished" version of the James Taylor institution he has become in some ways. On this he still had his corny but endearing version of "Shower the People" using a reel-to-reel tape deck for backing vocals -- priceless!! Also, he's playing a Yamaha!!
Dan Dugmore and Leland Sklar originally played on "Everyday".

Don Grolnick must've really enjoyed doing that piano solo from 6:34 to 7:01. I could tell he was digging it.
