Councilman John Perticone: "Go Back Home" Irondequoit Town Board meeting 4/16/09 Bob Ament

Resident, Bob Ament, makes the time, as he reserves his right to revisit his town hall to not only be heard but to commend a Town Councilwoman ... but, only to be told (under breath) to "Good For You - Go Back Home" by another board member. Shouldn't Council be of the same team?

Please note, at the end of the clip, time stamped, at the very end - marked @ 1:38.

When residents makes the time to come to a town meeting, "Good For You - Go back home" is not what we expect, nor what we support from our government. And, some would also say that they would expect the exact opposite ... encouragement of participation should be welcomed!

This one takes the cake; above all differences that many may have had in the past - this is the one that I would never have seen (or heard) coming from you. You are a fraction of leadership in this fine town, and it is my opinion that this is anything but the way we should be treating fellow residents.

Please be reminded that you are an example before us, and our ears serve us well. Some could think - if you have something to say - say it out loud, if you feel that it is of importance - not under your breath. Did you learn nothing from Mr. Malgeri's "Hat Trick" comment back in January ?

... Mr. Ament is entitled to a public apology at the very least.
