Help Save Belding Michigan's Clock Tower From Destruction!

Our past is disappearing before our eyes. In its place is either pre-fab flimsy fast food flops or cement strewn fields. Belding had a wonderful downtown, it could have been fixed and preserved. It was unfortunately torn down. Now one of the last landmarks, the Clock Tower is being threatened with the demolition ball. The owners aren't bad people, we know it would be expensive, but can it be saved? Please help us. Give your ideas, sign the petition, respectfully contact the owners (Electrolux). Im 12 and live in belding michgan the silk city the town where gusmaker came from the town where the clock tower is i hope they dont take it down its a part of beldings history and im proud of it it makes me feel good each time i go downtown and see it

Thankyou so much for posting this vid of my beautiful hometown . It's so sad they may tear this down too!! I grew up in the 50's and 60's and recognize all the "downtown" here. :)

And if the kids are doing what commenter lifesupport420 says, then Belding should have better security there.

The clock tower hasn't been preserved in any manner. Teens in Belding brake into the building to play with the clock, do drugs, and have sex. The entire building is dilapidated and is an eyesore. This could be good for Belding. This town is afraid to move forward and maybe the wake up call this town needs.
