300 security personnel including 100 Administration Police officers have been deployed to the Mau forest to oversee the relocation of settlers in the South Western part of the Forest. The officers have set up camp in parts of the 19,000 hectares of the forest that the government hopes to rehabilitate. Forestry Minister Dr. Noah Wekesa says at least 1,500 families will be moved and will not be given any compensation.

To approve @Edenskid comment....Ntv should show her full body in the next news clip to disapprove the claim, but is there a problem with her being pregnant?

Kudos Gok on this one, at least some progress. As a citizen I am pleased to see that Mr Wekesa showing some concern for these people while not kowtowing to unrealistic projections. I know there are still plenty of issues with Gok but on this particular issue and based on this report - they get my Kudos.

Some of the APs and police officers are part of the militia. Did you see that officer who was arrested recently by KACC police recently?
