Omar was lucky of the power vacuum that happened in season 3, all of Avon's muscle locked up, and they had a chance to get chris and snoop more trained.

@ikosabre Exactly. People who talk like that don't understand how this thing works. That's like criticizing a President or King for not being out in the front lines during a war. It doesnt work that way. The show didn't show how Avon or Marlo got to the positions they're in, nor should it have to. I'd think Simon has a little bit more faith in the viewers than to have to spell everything out for them.Obviously these guys had to put in work at some time or another to get their positions of power.

Hard hitters like Chris and Snoop don't follow someone just out of fear. If you want to talk about stupid, remember how Avon almost went out on the streets himself during the war, even while he was out on parole. Besides what do you mean that Chris and Snoop "kept" thins going for him. He's the fucking boss. He's not supposed to do things himself. Avon never did things himself. I'm so tired of double-standard people, who judge Marlo for something that other drug lords are also guilty of.

People who say that Marlo is a bitch don't understand that in order to have trained killers like Chris and Snoop loyal to him he had to be a bad muthafucka. Marlo is an enigma so you don't know how much work he put in. There's a Marlo in every hood and they didn't get there by being bitches.

Marlo was a weak leader. Chris and Snoop kept it going for him. He was dumb as a leader, none of his crew respected or liked him. Him jacking his crew and murdering for no reason wasn't good for business. Why do you think Chris and Snoop never told him Omar was calling him out. They knew he was dumb enough to go out on street and try and take Omar out himself. Omar would have eaten him for breakfast.
