Thor and the rest of Asgard went MIA due to Ragnarok. Stark and Reid Richards wound up cloning Thor, and in Thor #3, confronts Stark about his "friend" cloning him. However it was a limited print because Iron man was coming out and Thor kicking their new cash cow poster boy's ass would have been bad for marketing.

They had the civil war because some no name group of teenage superheroes blew up an elementary school and so there was a big call to have anyone with super powers register and become regulated by the government. Cap was against, Iron Man was for.

More or less they tried to do to everyone what they've been trying to do to mutants from the x-verse for decades.

well the day of the memorial one of the kids' moms spit in tony's face and began chewing him out. Since then he decided to wake up and grow a conscience.

It's just ironic that he's pushing for superhuman registration and he's not even a superhero. He's really nothing without his suit.

No one said the Marvel Civil War was the most thought out event.

@jwat8807 Wrong those no name's (New Warriors) were trying to stop a group of villains when one of the villain's Nitro who had taken a drug that had increased his powers, it was him who blew up the town, worse he was working for someone to do it too (Wolvie found that out and no worries, one of the NW made Nitro pay dearly for what he did) , Everyone just chose to blame the NW (and all heroes) cause really when have people ever not blame heroes for what the villains did (EX: poor spidey)
