Outstanding track - and it sounds just like I heard it on WFMU recently. she is an underrated talent. Interesting possible segue: into the Beatles' "Within You, Without You." (Wish I was still on the radio - I'd do that one on the air....)

@JRRjrrr - Thanks, I stand corrected. I noticed Jerry Falwell in the rather strange video, but missed Rush. I Googled to find out more, but only saw where she'd dedicated to Limbaugh (no mention of it as "political" per se, but that is Rush's bread-and-butter, and with the C.S. Lewis quote at the end it makes sense in connection).

@edinasee I wouldn't have given her another thought but I saw Die Hard a few nights ago and got to thinking. Critical raves don't amount to much if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it. How many copies did Fan Dance sell, about 20? Ditto for A Boot and a Shoe and whatever her latest was called. She's not an influential artist nor a relatively important one, so there's not much more to discuss in regards to her.

@JRRjrrr -- Ooohh, why such a "Grumpy Gus"? As a recording artist, she's been getting critical raves since she changed to "Sam"...and as far has having "no audience at all" -- YOU'RE her audience, someone looking (and successfully finding) her music & videos -- ain't that just so "ironical"?

Sam may like to think of herself as a crank, but she's really an empress with no clothes. For years after she left CCM she babbled about her "victim" status to anyone who listened or cared. All that's come back to bite her. Now she's got no audience at all, Christian or secular.

@Galantski It IS a political song because she said so. She even dedicated it to Rush Limbaugh. Like, WTF?? What did Rush Limbaugh do to her?

@CH3CH2OH4U -- Learn something about digital audio, file conversion, the Internet, and codecs, and then you can start discussing the subject of audio fidelity intelligently. For your enlightenment, T-Bone happened to produce Sam's previous 3 releases (please re-read your sentence regarding that -- it made no sense); he wasn't just "selected". Sorry to hear you're having a bad day...

@edinasee You posted this video on your crappy laptop. I have my own stereo speakers. You didn't notice that this video version reduced the drums and horns to the backround, while promoting the vocals only. The beauty of this song is the production of combininig both. T-Bone Burnett was selected for his production Grammy nomination because of his studio work in production of this. Everyone should hear the Audio production of this song, not the tin horn copy of this upload. Congratulations!

It's great I love it

@CH3CH2OH4U -- TRY listening to this song on regular strereo speakers, not your crappy laptop -- it sounds fine. In fact, this song earned a 1994 Grammy nomination for Best Female Rock performance... but hey, everyone's entitlted to their opinion.
thank you! i love sam!
