Gianluca is not really all that modest and shy... just look at the group interviews (Malaysia, Australia, etc)... he has his fair share of speaking. It's just that Gianluca is not as playful and funny when it comes to singing... for him that's the time to be serious. But get him out of "concert mode"... and he's pretty funny. Just check out the 11 second "The Edge of Glory IL VOLO" short... you see his playfull side.

For those of you thinking that Gianluca looks sad, here's what the song's about. It was written at the end of the 19th century by a man whose daughter had mysteriously disappeared. He sings about how pointless his life seems, he doesn't know what to do next; he notices the powerful pain inside him, that seems to know which heart to go to, he sings about how his thoughts just disappear. It's sad and emotional. Not the kind of song to smile while singing, but beautiful when sung like this!

I personallyI think this is a great song for the boys. Gianluca just seems serious about singing this song. I really don't see any sadness..thats just my opinion. I would love to see Gian. out of concert mode. I bet he is sweet and fun. I love interviews where he talks a lot and laughs. He has a low deep speaking voice too..

@beckieILTL I did notice that he seemed to be smiling less than the others all night. I think it's just the way he is; he's very modest and shy. :)
