I believe that the X prize was a failure. I understand the spirit of the X prize to be "go cheaply to space by inventing the damn warp drive in the back of your garage" type of competition. Putting together 8 mil $ to buy NASA like rockets basically doesn't cut it for me. Anyone with money can do that. Plus their concept is not new. Eugen Sanger invented it n the begining of 20h century. So X prize should not have been awarded. Instead it should say X prize = go to space without chemical rockets

I am very happy to hear and know about the Vision of Xprize. The major problems in the world needs to act and change a.s.a.p.
There are too many forces which are working against innovative solutions. We have also innovative solutions, governments saying "genius" but they don't help us to realize them. That's really disappointing. There is knowledge to get the wished weather on demand, solve poverty and diseases but no money to bring it too the global society. Extraordinary team? Let me know!

Im so glad that the Xprize exists. The automotive X prize is especially exciting to me. Only a Tucker-like individual will revolutionize the auto industry. The big 3 has had the technology for years but hidden it from the public see Who Killed the Electric Car. The only way to get that technology out of the warehouses & available to the public is if somebody builds an EV that the big 3 cant ignore & must compete with. The people of the world are ready to buy an EV. Good luck to all competing!
