TONY WILSON CPD Workshop on Storytelling

Part of a 2 hour CPD workshop on Storytelling that I did when I was in Colombia. This is just one of the many workshops that I do that cover creative writing, developing stories, storywriting and practical, manageable literature activities in the classroom. What I try to do is make sure that the particpants come away with several practical techniques that they can adapt and adopt to their own teaching style. Having been a teacher myself and having been on many courses I know how inportant it is for curriculum-relevant, understandable, inexpensive and hopefully jargon-free instruction that can encourage and build confidence.
I have delivered many workshops to conferences, literacy festivals and as part of schools' INSET training. This is only a small section of a 2 hour inservice, 'twilight' session where character development, setting description, story analysis, story creation and storytelling were covered.
