Lovely, long live the voice of Erich Kunz. Besides his technique there is an incredible warmth and authenticity in Erich Kunze's voice.

Although I had been a fan of operetta all my life, my experience was limited mostly to American and UK operettas and musicals until I moved to Ukraine. For reasons that I have never quite understood, I found that in the former Soviet Union, the works of Imre Kálmán were and still are extremely popular. I think that perhaps a third of the repertoire of the Kyiv Operetta Theater, just three blocks from my flat, is at least one third Kálmán and I have come to love his work.
