Well I beg to differ. The New Age crowd has indeed pretty much taken over much of Aikido. It is full of guys doing the "I wave my hand and you fall down" type of Aikido. Nice to see someone showing a more practical version of it.

you are right ygius, would have to change the name to avois problems, the real Aikido is the right way to do Aikido, the only Aikido, that is only a expression, no a name.

I think these real aikido videos are great.. it looks like these aikidoka are wery committed but when they call it real aikido it implies that other aikidos are not real and the next step from here may be to act as a sect or as real aikido is some kind of uber martial art. They should change the name and would be ok.

The aikido of ueshiba died with him. Your aikido is different from mine and mine to yours and the our different one from Ueshiba. Each Aikido is singular and unique, and all are real.
