The Class of '09 Whooping crane chicks begin their training with the ultralight at the circle-pen. Chicks are led into the circular pen so that they can follow the aircraft and puppet, as it taxis around the outside of the pen. Pilot, Brooke Pennypacker can pull a trigger in the long neck of the puppet to dispense mealworms as encouragement for a job well done.
