The person who commented that playing the race card is ignorant has NO idea what they are talking about. This town, Jena, has had many problems with racism and in this court case a black student was convicted with 20 YEARS in prison for slightly injuring a white student. A week later, white students got off with a 2 day suspension for injuring a black student.

Hank is forgetting a few facts. Come on, this case was more than a mere school yard fight. It was 6 on 1, and it does not matter if the victim attended a party that night or not. When 6 people jump 1 person that is attempting to do great harm to the extent that is classified as attempted murder. The young man that got jumped is damn lucky to survive such a brutal attack, infact he did substain serious injury ie bleeding out of both ears. And the main attacker already had a rap sheet.
