  • I just got diagnosed with RSD. noone believed my pain until I went to Riley Children's Hospital. For 2 years I just gritted my teeth and limped on. I fell on my knee once and couldn't stand back up and had to go to the hopital. They took an xray of my knee and said there was nothing wrong, I was blowing it out of proportion. And this hospital was supposed to be the best in the states! Am I going to lose the ability to walk?

  • @torylinnangel They may be 1 of the best, but are they aware of RSD? You have been living in pain for 2 years not knowing what was wrong? Never ask yourself will I lose this or will I ever be able to do this again. They all lead to negative thoughts & thats the one thing you DON'T want! It makes everything worse. I believe you'll be able to walk again :) I never thought I'd get out of a wheelchair. It takes hard work and putting yourself in more pain to get better. How old are you?

  • @brookesbattle I'm 17. I can still walk, it's just really painful. Today I almost passed out because it hurt so bad. I guess the hospital wasn't aware of RSD.

  • @torylinnangel never give in to the pain, that's my best advice! Letting it take over your life is the worst! I've been trying to be "normal" but having it full body it's sometimes hard to fight back. RSD is the dragon we face and we can't let it win. I just turned 18 on the 27th. If you ever need to talk, I'm here. Most aren't aware of it or drs don't believe in it but we know it's real.

  • @brookesbattle thank you so much for being here for all of us other sufferers, you are an inspiration! Happy late b-day.

  • @torylinnangel Thank you <33

I feel so sad of what you're going through. I know my english is not the best but you should know that you're strong and amazing. I hope you know that you are special :)

  • So inspiring(: Are you better?

  • This made me so emotional...It made me stop and think about what my life could be...I'm inspired by all of the fighters out there they have a true understanding of life :)

  • 3: I'm feeling so sad and sorry for everyone with that right now yet you guys are all inspiring me aswell! inspiring me to do my homework :(

  • hey! I just wanted to say that even though I don't have RSD I sort of understand what you are going through. On September 28th 2011 I had a life altering surgery and became a parapalegic and before that I was completly independent and able to walk. So I understand what it is like to have to spend hours in the ER and think you will never be able to walk again again.

    Stay strong!!

  • In 2010 i had to have an operation on both calf/feet, little did i know, that i would have to learn to walk again completly... the pain, the really bad hospital food(ok so maybe it wasnt so bad), and most of all, the next year that was going to follow... it has now been almost 2 years, and I can finally do all the things that i had to learn to do again. Last December, i had the screws that they had put in my feet removed, and was finally free to do whatever i wanted again.

  • youre so inspiring!<3
