So will the unions make it so all you need to do to get rid of them is a simply "card check"? I doubt it. Unions are a byproduct of entitlement syndrome that is ruining this country. The funniest part is people like the bus drivers in Philly actually think they deserve a big pension for driving a freaking bus. LMFOALOLBBQ at the idiots who think they deserve a pension and the city for actually giving into them. They should be training replacements to all these union workers that strike.

a union is simply a labor monopoly. They make the company they work for noncompetitive. At one point they served a noble purpose, that time is long gone. Without the union gm could price their cars where they should be priced and as w all know, the lower cost of something, the more of it that is sold. You get more for your money buying a foreign because American cars are overpriced.

In fact, it's more than just 100% of the benefit going to the bosses. Increased productivity then makes it easier to cut staff, make the staff work longer hours for lower wages and unemployment gives the bosses more leverage against workers, particularly in a non-unionised environment.

More inane stupidity. You think that the bosses come up with technological innovations and that they deserve 100% of the benefits from that? What about tax money that subsidises research? What about the research workers themselves? What about the fact that when something is invented once, other companies benefit from that invention and from technological advance? Why can't the whole of society benefit? Why must the bosses and capital owners get 100% of the benefit?

About the only thing unions are good for today is helping raise money for Jerry Lewis' telethon.
Join a union, learn one trade, and you're stuck in that trade the rest of your life. No helping workers with other responsibility, since the contract gives them the trade they're stuck in.
No merit pay for good workers or dumping the slackers because the "brotherhood" gives everyone the same cookie cutter "benefits".
Thank God for right to work laws!!!

watch the 11 part documentary about walmart "Wal-Mart the high cost of low prices" see how large corporations snuff out any atempts to unionize by terminating employees for just speaking about it! If there were no unions there would be no middle class! They paved the way to our parents fortions then we lost our way now they have demonized the unions and now the top 1% have 95% of all the wealth they raped the middle class.

Solidarity forever, Solidarity forever
Solidarity forever, for the union makes us strong!

It is we who plowed the prairies, built the cities where they trade
Dug the mines and built the workshops, endless miles of railroad laid
Now we stand outcast and starving 'mid the wonders we have made
But the union makes us strong
