Id say SRV was influenced by country , but bot by much. He was really into jimi alot. , but SRV was a bluesman not a country huy.

well you seem to be well informed ... he didn't just copy jimi ... he had a lot more influences like albert king and other great blues guitarists... i love them both!! if you don't like him, it's really not my problem honey :D

nah cuz jimi is black and black people have favor he comes from blues, srv doesnt have that and he just copies jimi,plus srv has country style thats hilly billy!!
