  • when there is no coverage of government decisions, u call it a dictatorship that conceals information from you. When they give you information, u say its a waste of money.

    YEAH

  • I just voted for britains liberal democrats so I hope they do well

  • IMAGINE. Imagine no commission unelected as they are no million regulations sent to us from afar imagine legislation made by those we know oh,oh,oh I know you may call me a dreamer but I am not the only one one day you will join us and Europe will be as one (..as a trading block, not as an imposed, artificial federal state with it's own army/parliament no-one was ever ASKED if they wanted ). Dont give the EU the legitimacy it craves.Don't vote. Say NO to the Lisbon treaty/constitution !
  • i will not vote. the british government has done enough damage to us.

  • Hello from an Euroenthusiast in Romania. In our country the problem is that the parties are mostly confusing the domestic and European agenda, which is confusing many, BUT:we have the opportunity to get informed from the EP site and Europarl TV. Maybe the turnout will be low, but those who will vote will be well informed. Far from being "illegitimate", the EP is one the most democratic and transparent institutions. And since it is elected by direct vote,it can only be legitimate.

  • look

    sarkozy style

  • Always the same complains...

Once again: Unelected Commision? The President of the Commision is elected by the national presidents (elected by the people), and the rest of the commisioners, are elected by national governments (elected) and accepted by the Parlament (elected).

  • dear spennen,

The EU parliament is voted by millions of EU citizens. I don't know what you mean by "don't have an opposition". Inside there's debate among political groups and national delegations. Outside, it negotiate with Council and Commission. All we decide here will come to your daily live: you're able to live in peace, to travel freely, to buy the best product at the best price, to work or study abroad, to receive medical treatment everywhere. So you'd better be part of the process.
