WFLD Channel 32 - Super Cartoon Sunrise (Theme Song, 1984)

This is the one a lot of people have been waiting for...

Here is a second bumper for The Flintstones on Super Cartoon Sunrise on WFLD Channel 32. This dates to August of 1984. This version has no voiceover and instead plays a slightly longer snippet of the SCS Theme Song.

This one's also a little different from the Jetsons and Woody bumpers because it has the newer Metromedia 32 logo but also has "WFLD TV" added which the others do not.

In any case - Finally, we can put this theme song controversy to rest:

1) It's not "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" by the Beatles, as someone once claimed.

2) It's not "a funky version of Zip-a-Dee Doo-Dah" as I once thought.

It is in fact, a funky, jazzified version of "Hail, Hail, the Gang's All Here"! Listen closely and I'm sure you'll agree. Kind of makes sense when you think about it too - the "gang" of Super Cartoon Sunrise lineup is here to brighten up your morning!

Hey kids, don't be late for school staring at Fred and his magical clock all day! ;-)
