Aikido looks effective and these techniques look nice and simple. But can Aikido work against an opponent that punches again and again rapidly with both arms--quickly bringing back each arm after every punch? Often, attacks are very fast and hard to work with.

Yes it can. This is just a demo of one way of going about things. I never train my students to just think there is going to be on punch or kick but you must start somewhere. With these basics we build their understanding of how to deal with a strike in very solid ways. After this has been gained most Aikidoka should have not prob dealing with string of strikes and kicks. I am very aware that attacks are very fast and can be hard to deal with but in my Aikido we train for these things.

Good. I'm glad to hear this. I feel more confident about Aikido.

If you put up any video that shows that Aikido can work against strings of punches/kicks, many would appreciate it. Perhaps even sparring matches (unpredictability) if you wish. It would help me decide if I should pursue Aikido.
