1972 Honda 600 PART 1 of 2

Open exhaust except for 12 inches of glass pack. The engine is an original, all stock, 600CC, inline twin, 4-stroke with 8.5 to 1 compression ratio and a single keihin carburator. 4 speed manual transmission. This fire-breathing monster of a powerplant generates an almost-unheard-of 36 horsepower and a pavement pounding, axle-twisting 45 pound-feet of torque. In other words, don't worry about the 0 to 60 or quarter mile times, you'd be missing the point. :) Actually though, it'll do 85mph flat-out, which I was suprised to learn. That feels pretty freaking fast in a car like this. Overall a great example of intelligent Honda engineering and a passionate, unique car. Be sure to check out part 2 of this video...

Is that an engine from a honda Civic or something? I'm sure a more modern engine would give this thing a whole lot more power and reliability, but a big part of this little car is the uniqueness of the original engine. I mean just look at that crazy little thing! It's small and full of character just like the whole car. Swapping out the old engine for a more modern one would only take something away from it.

thats neat, why didnt you put a b16a2 in it? it fits quite fine, but nice restoration
