also the gramatics of romaji dictates that having it spelled out, it would originally look like this "hatusune" which basically looks wierd, too long and it just is to clunky :| hatune is easier so it works :)

she is malfunctioning, her system was crashing, you can tell by the red screens in the beginning it's a way of saying there is an error in her system Also:

It's used more often than "Hatsune"

On that I don't agree. In melody.exe she sacrificed her memories (digi-wings) to send them on to the next generation (Rin and Len) because she was doomed to crash again. Then in the next installment when she's floating through cyberspace, she finds her drifting memories and uses the last of her energy to find the happiest one, of the five Vocaloids together.

the red pillar screen was red because before she turned on she had an error in melodey exe she overloaded cause she felt unwanted cause they kept makeing more vocaloids thats why she overloaded
