silent hill 4 was originally supposed to be its own franchise, but the developers decided it was so much like silent hill that they just tied the storyline (sullivan, the killer mentioned in this one) and made it a silent hill game. It is still better than silent hill 5, which is NOT a silent hill game.

The first time I played this game it scared the **** out of me. Especially the Prison area with that monster. But I have played it so many times in a row now that it doesn't scare me at all.
Now when I play it, I do it just to speed through the game for fun.
Great commentary also.

Oh, I always thought the "there was a hole here" thing was referencing the first game, when Harry found the radio and the monster busted through the glass. But I never compared maps to see if it was the same building...anyway, I love your commentary!

I love how calm you are when you play this game...when I play I'm constantly scared and the littlest things make me jump! And the mannequins are some of the creepiest monsters from any of the games in my opinion.

LOL, I've played this game to hell and back. XD When you play games like this obsessively, the fear element starts to slip away. :P Although I admit, there are some things that still scare the shit out of me. (Like nurses and the hospital...)

I love how the Silent Hill games are filled with doors that cannot be opened. They add so much to the game! How they fill me with eerie woe!
