Whoever feels the need to have a "who's better" discussion between SRV and Clapton is empty between the ears.  Get your head out of your ass, and enjoy some of the best blues music ever played.

There is no comparison between the greats. If you read any interview with any of the greats in reference to their feelings towards SRV, they all looked at him with reverence. No one was better than the other. They were all just themselves. Some played fast, some slow, some in between. However there is one common thread. THEY ALL LOVED STEVIE. If B.B. King, Albert King, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins, Lonnie Mack, etc...etc... all love your playing, I'd say that you've joined the club.

I was there. Eric just shook his head and chuckled while Stevie tore it up. Hate to say it, but, honestly, after Stevie played and walked off, the rest of the concert was boring.
