Well the price of those are kept artificially high thanks to the crooked practices of deBeers and their monopolistic practices and human rights abuses so... Yes. They are blood diamonds.

@mikeg642000 .. "Blood diamonds" refer to diamonds that are sold by governments, people, etc. in Africa to buy guns to retain control over an area or people. The diamond cartel (De Beers) keeps the price of diamonds artificially high; so these "blood diamonds" are valuable for thugs, gangs, revolutionaries, etc. In addition, the mining of diamonds is VERY dangerous work that is also environmentally destructive.
I suppose that all diamonds are "blood diamonds in one form or another.

For real, just a useless rock marketed by the industry.
Diamonds were orignally an investment for the wife in case the husband died in which case she would remove the ring (signifying that she is single/unmarried) and sell it to be able to support the family for a small duration untill she finds another husband/partner.
Nowadays its just a usless overpriced rock. Try and sell it on the market and see if you can get its "value" .....
