Hi! I pulled the old Hudson out of the barn to see if I could get it to go. This car was probably last shut off about 35 years ago, and the engine was pretty tight from sitting. I like these old step-down models, they are quite sleek and low, and this should be a very nice car once I finally get around to restoring it. Thanks for watching! This video has had the audio track replaced due to some copyright issues; I apologize that the original engine sounds have been lost. I'll try again next summer to get it going for some live sounds...

  • Another note to poster: We want to hear it!! Talk us through what you did!

Not that I don't appreciate Classical music, but I like the music of an old car running more.

  • @tomperanteau Thanks, I don't bother with the music on newer videos for the reasons you outlined; this is an old video from a couple of years ago... I never really thought anybody was going to watch this stuff!

  • Note to poster: We love your videos. Take up a collection and buy a good HD cam so that we can enjoy the really entertaining work you do!

  • @tomperanteau Thanks! I used to use the video editor to simulate old, grainy film, but I don't bother anymore. I appreciate your feedback, and if you check some of the more recent videos, the quality and camera work is getting better. I even have a proper tripod now!

  • Did Stel hop in the car? She seems to be the first to know if it will be a runner or not!

    Great video-thanks!

  • @destry232 Haha! You're right! Stel hops in all the cars! It's actually a problem if the car is really nice inside, like my '76 Newport. That's why I'm selling it... I did this video a couple of years ago, but it was blocked by youtube for copyright reasons because of my original soundtrack pick. I just pasted a youtube-approved song on top of my old video so it wouldn't be blocked anymore. Thanks for watching!

  • @coldwarmotors I did and there is nothing like a old engine sitting for a loong time to try to get alive again. But with no sound :( Better luck next time

  • I love the old furys too I've owned 3 a 66 and 2 68s. Keep making videos guys I watch all over em

  • @coldwarmotors Pleasantly, we apparently do still watch them, and we enjoy it. Some of us that still have fuel flowing in our veins need to live through you, so either we buy you a new cam, or you get one on your own.

  • I retract my comment due to reading description.

Great upload can't wait to see more.

  • Cool vid man, why such bad picture quaity? Lol
