Meet our cute, heart-warming little hedgehog :).

I would have wanted some video of him eating at the end, but it got too high tech for us (in other words we got tired) ;).

What type or coloring is your hedgehog? He is the cutest one I have seen!

I'm not sure but I think the English term is African Pygmy Hedgehog. He's color is brown.

do they respond to calls and do they get along well with owner ?

how are they dealing with new owners ?

They get used to a new owner pretty fast. Probably in about a week. They don't respond to calls and are quite solitary animals. Some hedgehogs enjoy petting a lot, others don't like it at all. Every hedgehog has a different personality.

Our hedgehog was already 2 years old when we got him. His previous owner got allergic...We paid 200 euros for him, but a baby hedgehog costs about 350 euros in Finland. We got him from the previous owner who originally got him from a breeder.

I absolutely recommend to buy your hedgehog from a breeder. Pet shops are known to have treated hedgehogs badly and there's inbreeding going on as well because they don't check their hedgehogs' backgrounds.
