During a stop in Huatlco, Mexico, the Grand Dominion Jazz Band played Cielito Lindo (written in 1882 by Quirino Mendoza y Cortes). This was one of several trad jazz bands participating in a dixieland/classic jazz cruise from San Diego, through the Panama Canal, to Fort Lauderdale on Celebrity's Constellation cruise ship. The venue for this tune was the ship's Cinema. The recording was made by Franklin Clay Films. Other band videos taken during the cruise, as well as a summary video in 3 parts, can be found by going to www.wxyzvideos.com. Several organizations sponsor jazz cruises -- this one was by www.jazzsea.com.
