  • Inger Dam-Jensen is perhaps the best Cleopatra of our time. There not many other ladies who can sing this like her.

    Especially not the Coloratura Queens

at the Met in N.Y. There all singing to

    impress people. She does not.

    A true European artist.

  • My favourite Cleopatra! Clarity of coloratura, flexibility - and warmth of tone. Gorgeous!

  • @Erikk91 Thank you very much!

If the wood( it means the ship ), broken by tempests, reaches the seaport safe, it doesnt know anymore what to desire.

And so the heart, between troubles and tears, returns to make happy the soul before he can find consolation.

  • her voice is lovely, but why would anyone want to f***ck up the aria by laying the soprano on the floor??
