Scientists are alarmed at the rate sharks are dissappearing from the oceans. Some estimate that 90 percent of the largest sharks have been wiped out. The lack of these apex predators is altering the ocean's ecoscape.

We swim in their home. If you don't like it people then don't frickin' swim in the ocean. End of story. They're an important part of the oceanic Eco system and that's a little more important than your need to surf or swim.

What good will come out of it for not hunting for sharks? Like what do we benefit from them wondering around the ocean?

I live in California and used to surf a lot. until I was attacked by a shark one day. I got bit in my left thigh and it left a huge mark on my thigh. I got stitched over 100 times but luckily, I survived. Ever since then, I despise all the sharks.
