@SomeOtherTroper well the original argument was that the incubators were evil and since they do an evil thing by default they are evil
-
@DefineNerd117 Not attempting to say they aren't evil - that's Archimonde's thing. (I agree with you that it is evil of them to trick girls into this.) I was just trying to explain why the incubators didn't instakill the witches themselves.
-
@SomeOtherTroper wow that just makes them manipulative evil bastards and yes they are evil you cannot deny the fact that they are doing an evil thing that makes them evil by default
-
@SomeOtherTroper Good point, but remember those are underage girls. There must not be many of them who would be prepared to die for the survival of the universe. If the Incubators only focused on finding those that are, it is likely they'd never be able to fulfill their quota.
-
@DefineNerd117 Because collecting emotions is the goal. The little crushes, small disappointments and other little emotional flare-ups girls of that age have? Barely a drop in the bucket. The emotional turmoil of a magical girl at the moment she turns into one of the very abominations she's been fighting? The emotions of her fellow magical girls as they realize what has happened, and eventually have to kill her? Priceless. Instakilling the witches would make the whole plan futile.

@Archimonde259 Good and Evil must be measured against some standard, or they are just words. One standard is based on 'continued survival of the universe'. Another standard may deem it evil to trick someone into the hell-on-earth that is apparently the life of a puella magi. Honestly, "are you prepared to die for X" is a pretty standard question for a hero. The Incubators should just find people who answer "Yes" when X is 'continued survival of the universe'. There are wishes worth that.

@Archimonde259 why cant they find another way to do it then? and also that brings me back the last argument why not have something on the magic girl that when she turns into a witch it kills her so she does not cause trouble that's a logical decision you don't need morals to do it so why not its simple
-
@DefineNerd117 Once the universe has blown up, try explaining to not only us, but every single damn race on every single damn planet in existance that you sacrificed the whole universe for the sake of a few girls.
Should be simple enough, right?
-
@Archimonde259 try explaining that to the dead girls
-
@DefineNerd117 How can someone whose race has no emotions by definitions be evil? Also, how is it evil to sacrifice a few girls for the sake of the whole universe? The needs of the few shouldn't outweigh those of the many, am I right?
If you didn't notice the color change of logo in background [1:29], then THUMB UP!
