Loans for medical quality improvement in Ghana

The Medical Credit Fund is the first fund of its kind in the world to provide a combination of finance and technical assistance to primary health care service providers in Africa. Clinics and dispensaries, which are valuable first and sometimes only points of health care access for many people, are often not able to improve their services because small loans are not easily accessible. The Medical Credit Fund provides business training and advice as well as sustainable methods on how to improve their image and services so that financial service providers see the value in with providing them with loans. In Ghana the Medical Credit Fund provided the fist loan to maternity home The Finger of God in the Teshie area.
