Isaura, my grandmother, left Cuba in 1961 and was granted political asylum in the United States of America. In this video clip, she explains how she felt when she arrived in the United States from Cuba.

I conducted this interview with my sister, Sara, in 2004 while we were both working on separate projects about our Cuban heritage.
