@simon44 Nope, just another reason why I don't think it's anywhere near worth the amount.

Does it stop the clicking noise coming from the lens? Thats the main reason for this for me.

@cubsin4 Yeah, can't agree more.
Beginning to regret buying this camera.

I would buy the camera if it had a plug in for an external mic of my choice. The MIC mounted on the camera translates too much of the camera sound, I.E zooming, switching settings ETC. Very crapy and for the price of the camera SONY should be ashamed of them selves.

@moviesunrated Thanks for subbing me too! I was doing an interview with a guy on the pavement a few days ago and the built-in mic picked up all the noise of cars and buses behind me...was totally useless. I need something more directional.
Been thinking of buying that mic. I want to shoot short documentary clips that could be used as cutaways etc in my professional work (Use Sony Z7 normally with senheisser mics)

@davidgrahamscott That's a really nice camera!
This mic's good, but I think it's more for how directional it is rather than overall sound quality. It isn't that much better, but at 90° it really cuts out what's behind you. Soon (Probably tomorrow) I'll upload the video where I was near a water fall so you can see what I mean. Thanks for subscribing!

I enjoyed this short instructional video almost as much as a seven minute clip on how to take the camera out of the box. I am learning so much about this camera, many thanks.

@Hutchr100 Much appreciated! I'll get a better test out soon so either check back for when it's here or subscribe. I think I'll do it this weekend.
